The Landon Corporate Group has purchased Quality Equity Partners’ stake in Bellsolà. With this purchase, Landon now owns 97% of the bakery (the remaining 3% belongs to the former owner and founder, Pere Bellsolà) and renews its commitment to the frozen dough market, where it has been present since 2003 when it purchased a 43% stake in Bellsolà. The Landon Group is an investment firm run by the Gallardo family, which is the majority shareholder in the Almirall pharmaceutical group.

ellsolà, the Catalonian company specializing in the manufacture of deep frozen breads and pastries, has implemented a new business plan designed in cooperation with ACC1Ó, the Department of Business and Labor agency that promotes the competitiveness of Catalan businesses. This plan has allowed Bellsolà to increase its production volume by 20% in the last year. The company closed out the 2010 fiscal year with a sales volume of 37.5 million euros, and turnover is expected to increase by 20% in 2011.

The WHO recommends a daily intake of 200 grams of bread.
